Hello there, friend.

Welcome! I’m glad to see that you have stumbled across my little corner of the internet. This blog is a place where I can share all of my ideas, opinions, adventures, and passions!

I’m assuming since you’re on this section of my blog, you would like to know more about me. Am I right? I mean, why else would you be here!

I want to start off with a simple question. Who is Taina Malave? There are two answers to that question. The short answer is: Taina Malave is a student, programmer, technology enthusiast, and a nerd. Those are the words that I use to describe myself because those are what fit me the most. Now, here is the longer version of what I just said.

My name is Taina Malave, but most people know me by “Ty” or “Tai.” Yes, both are pronounced the same way; just spelled differently. All the way until ninth grade, people called me “Tai.” Then, halfway through ninth grade, I transferred to a private school where it got switched to “Ty, ” and it stuck like that ever since. A better picture of me is below!

Currently, I am nineteen years old, and I was born and raised in the wonderful state of New York. No, not the city. I have lived in some area of New York all my life; until I moved to Providence, Rhode Island at the age of eighteen. I moved to Providence because I accepted my admissions offer to Johnson & Wales University for Software Engineering. I decided to choose a university in a city because ever since I was a tiny child, I always said I wanted to live in a city that never slept. So, I thought that living in Providence would be a nice test run.

Technology is and always will be my one true love. I have always been interested in technology ever since a young age. It is probably the one thing I am the most passionate about in life. Technology is how my story begins.

At the age of thirteen years old, I started to explore the internet more and create my online presence. My first crazy move was creating a YouTube channel called “TaiTheTechGirl.” On this channel, I talked about technology in every way, shape, and form. This YouTube channel also sparked a lot of my other hobbies and interests; such as photography. Thanks to YouTube, I met some pretty awesome people who helped shaped me into the person I am today.

Since “TaiTheTechGirl” I was on YouTube for awhile with a bunch of other channels. Each time the channel would evolve more and more. I started others called “NextLevelTek,” “LivingLifeWithTy,” “DisguiseTheLimits.” I also started a collab channel, but I can’t remember the name of it (oops?).

After my YouTube “career” had ended, I began to write for a couple of technology blogs because I found it a lot easier to manage while in high school. Writing articles took a lot less time than producing videos, and I loved writing.

While I was in high school, I found other ways to continue my passion for technology. I started by taking a general course in technology. In this course, we learned about networking mostly but also learned how to take apart and put back together a PC. Unlike most of my peers, I found this class fascinating and I loved every moment of it. In senior year of high school, I took my first ever programming course. I had dabbled in HTML and CSS before on my own time, but this was my first actual course about programming. The language we focused on was called Python, and that was the class that made me fall in love with programming. Ever since learning the basics of Python the first week of class, I knew I wanted to study programming in university. If it weren’t for my Python programming teacher, I probably wouldn’t have majored in Software Engineering. Mr. H, if you’re ever reading this, thank you.

The reason why I love technology so much is that it’s our present and future. Technology can open so many doors, and it’s amazing what you can do with all the information you can learn from the internet or technology. I can’t wait to see how far technology comes in my lifetime and my biggest dream in life is that I hope I can contribute it how far technology goes.

However, even though I love everything to do with technology, I do have other passionates and interests. Some of my other hobbies include; creating YouTube videos, coding, photography, learning languages, longboard, skiing, paintballing.

Sorry for the novel, but I was just assuming that since you’re on this page, you wanted to get to know the owner of this blog.

I hope you enjoy the content on my blog and have a fantastic day!

Sincerely,
